Investors in Switzerland

Prima Capital Fund LTD and Trocadero Capital Holdings LTD have appointed Fundana as their distributor in Switzerland. These two collective investment schemes have not been approved by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (“FINMA”) for distribution to the general public (i.e. to non-Qualified Investors). As a result, they are only available to Qualified Investors as defined in the Swiss Collective Investment Schemes Act and its implementing regulations.

The Representative of Prima Capital Fund Ltd. and of Trocadero Capital Holdings Ltd. in Switzerland is Acolin Fund Services AG, with registered office at Stadelhoferstrasse 18, 8001 Zurich. The Paying Agent of Prima Capital Fund Ltd in Switzerland is Credit Suisse AG, with registered office at Paradeplatz 8, 8001 Zurich and the Paying Agent of Trocadero Capital Holdings Ltd in Switzerland is Bank Julius Baer & Co. Ltd, Bahnhofstrasse 36, 8001 Zurich.

The place of performance is at the registered office of the Swiss Representative. Any dispute related to the distribution of the shares of Prima Capital Fund Ltd. and/or of Trocadero Capital Holdings Ltd. in and from Switzerland shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the registered office of the distributor. Disputes relating to the duties of the Swiss Representative vis-à-vis the investor shall be brought before the courts of the registered office of the Swiss Representative.

The investors may obtain the fund’s Information Memorandum and other fund’s documents from the Swiss Representative or from Fundana.


An investment in the funds described on this website should be made only after careful study of the most recent Information Memorandum, which can be obtained, along with other fund’s documents, from Fundana.

Team & Partners

Thomas Ian Alessie

CEO and Founding Partner

Prior to founding Fundana SA, Mr. Alessie was Head of Derivative Trading Operations at United Overseas Bank in Geneva from 1986 to 1993. From 1985 to 1986 he was a commodities trader at Société Financière pour le Commerce et l’Industrie and from 1981 to 1985 Mr. Alessie was a derivatives trader at Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Michael U. Gerber, PhD

Head of Research and Partner

Dr. Gerber joined Fundana SA in 2001 and is the Head of Research at the firm. He was made a Partner in 2003. Dr. Gerber holds a Masters in Mathematics and received a Doctorate in Operations Research from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He received the ASRO Prize for his doctoral thesis from the Swiss Society of Operations Research.

Stéphanie Garcia


Mrs. Garcia joined Fundana SA in 2004 to supervise the work performed by the administrators and the custodians of the products advised by Fundana SA. Prior to this, Mrs. Garcia was accountant at L’Aiglon SA. She holds a Diploma from the Business School of Geneva.

Nicola Tombini

CRO, Senior Analyst

Mr. Tombini joined Fundana SA in 2021 as an Analyst. Prior to this, he was a Product Specialist at Amundi Asset Management in Milan. In addition to his internships at Fundana in 2019 and 2020, Mr. Tombini did an internship at Axyon AI in Modena as part of his Master’s thesis. He holds a Master’s in Finance, Fintech and Digital Innovation from the Polytechnic University of Milan and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Management from the University of Pisa.

Serpil Kir Pellet

Business Development

Mrs. Kir Pellet joined Fundana SA in 2011 as coordinator for the activities of acquisition and marketing. Prior to joining the company, Mrs. Kir Pellet worked at Fidurhône SA, a securities dealer company based in Geneva, for 12 years. Her past experience includes working as assistant-accountant at Fidroba SA. Mrs. Kir Pellet holds a diploma in Wealth Management and Private Banking from the ISFB (Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire).

Françoise Simond


Mrs. Simond joined Fundana SA in 2010 and holds the title of CFO for duties related to the administration of the company. Prior to this, Mrs. Simond was accountant at a number of mid-sized companies in Geneva. She holds a B.T.S. in Accounting and Management.
